This assignment asked us to write an informational letter to parents that explain an “integrated curriculum.” We had to explain what an integrated curriculum was, how it will affect regular activities, and why it is better than other approaches.

This assignment asked us to differentiate a lesson through content, assessment, or delivery. We had to write a narrative that explained how we differentiated.

Critical Literacy Lesson

Here we used a template to create a mini-lesson that focused on critical readings of text. I used a piece of fiction that we were currently reading, Buried Onions by Gary Soto to teach analyzation of various perspectives.

Strategy Blog

This assignment tasked us with creating a blog post concerning evidenced-based strategies. I used Apple Pages and one of their pre-made templates to create the “blog” as I didn’t quite know how else to format it.

Fluency Infographic

Using Venngage, I created a quick infographic on the definition of fluency, the reasons fluency is crucial to reading and comprehension, and strategies to help build fluency in our students.
